At awoo we pay great attention to the usability of the website, respecting the right of the users. Most impressively designed websites in Taiwan are unfriendly to their users. So called friendly means if the user can navigate through the website easily, or do they get lost during their navigation. Among them includes layout design, navigation design, interactive design, and informative, (From certain point of taxonomy.) denominate design, usability trial, and so on must be taken into consideration. In American design companies, designs are separated into fine sections amongst professional designers.
In Taiwan, most often the problems are solved by the art director or program manager along with the manufacturer. This usually ends up with dysfunctional designs, one of which is improper structure, this frequently causes the user to be stuck in a dead end, or feel lost about where they are. Further more, testers of the websites are either the manufacture themselves or the design company itself. Because of their familiarity with the website, their tryouts are too subjective; this is often the main cause of unfriendly websites.
However at awoo every web design process is followed with usability trials. Allowing strangers to put the website into practice, and then verifying the user's idea with the designer's. (Normally they do not correspond.) There after based on their response, minor adjustments are made to insure the website corresponds with the users experiences. Our motto is, a friendly website is the only way to receive the acceptance of the user. |
